The Zephyr chair by American seating company Stylex became an instant classic when it launched back in 2000. This year, Stylex have re-released the design with the addition of an upholstered seat.
Designed by Sava Cvek twelve years ago, the multi-purpose Zephyr chair won the prestigious NeoCon Gold award in the year of its launch. It was the industry’s first stacking chair with both a mesh seat and back. The new reinvigorated Zephyr maintains Cvek’s signature, contoured frame design and flexible, high-comfort mesh back but now incorporates an upholstered seat to offer specifiers a greater range of expression and adaptability.
Zephyr is also GREENGUARD certified with a recycled content steel frame and die cast fittings, and the steel, aluminum, and plastic components can be easily disassembled for recycling. The design is available in arm and armless models that stack as many as 18 high on the dolly as well as counter- and bar-height stools. The cast aluminum and tubular steel structure is designed to handle the rigors of daily use and stacking.
