Canadian office furniture manufacturer Teknion is launching its latest innovation in office seating, the Responsive Back Technology (RBT) Task Chair – a chair that adjusts to the size and shape of the user.
With a seat back that resembles a ribcage or a vertebral column, the RBT Task Chair automatically flexes to respond to the shape of the user’s back, continually adjusting and encouraging posture changes throughout the workday.
The RBT Task Chair’s ability to mirror the shape of the spine encourages proper posture, provides support and comfort for users of varying heights and weights and promotes dynamic movement. The chair back consists of an aluminum support structure and a user back interface comprising a set of ribs and linkages.
In addition, the RBT Task Chair also boasts great green credentials: manufactured from over 50 percent of recycled material and GREENGUARD Certified for Indoor Air Quality. The RBT Task Chair ranges in price from $1400-1500 depending upon the make and model.
