My one caveat about Hon’s SmartLink line of adjustable student desks is that the rounded profiles and comfy corners of these versatile workstations might just encourage the occasional snooze. But that’s certainly a minor complaint—and, anyway, it’s typically the under-performers who might be tempted by the aforementioned respite of repose.
In defiance of that last point, SmartLink actually encourages active participation and fruitful collaboration. The line intuitively recognizes that students come in multiple dimensions. Hence, SmartLink desks offer right or left-handed orientations; they function equally well as solo desks or ganged for group layouts; and they’re height-adjustable from 22 to 32 inches in 1-inch increments.
Apropos of my earlier comment, the worktops feature a comfort edge on the user side and a soft, curving radius with rounded corners. Nylon swivel glides are standard, but the desks also work with optional felt glide caps to protect soft floors.
