Originally designed by Ernest Race in 1951, ‘Roebuck’ chair was first created as an inexpensive alternative to the iconic, steel rod ‘Antelope’ chair designed by Race in the same year for the first edition of Festival of Britain. Now, the design, which was in production since its launch till 1968, has been reissued by the UK-based Race Furniture and it was recently presented at London’s Design Junction.

Similarly to its famous cousin, ‘Roebuck’ is composed of a curved, vividly-coloured steel frame based on four, spherical feet and wood veneer seat and back.
