Allseating is broadening its scope. The task chair specialist is entering the healthcare market with Foster, a new lounge collection that includes patient, guest, and lounge seating, benches, and tables. Designed by Cesar Fernandes, Foster Collection features a streamlined aesthetic that “takes its cue from residential and hospitality design.”
Comfortable, Clean, and Streamlined Lounge Collection for Healthcare
People in health and wellness environments will appreciate all the thought that’s gone into the Foster Collection. First and foremost, the seating is comfortable—because “waiting may never be easy, but it never has to be hard.” Sloping arms encourage “a more relaxed body position” and a webbed seat frame offers “active suspension…for a more comfortable sit.” Standard, wide, and bariatric sizes welcome all body types.
Foster also pays attention to design. Front-of-house and back-of-house solutions have contemporary silhouettes, giving “facilities the flexibility to create visual continuity throughout the environment.” Patient Chairs come in Mesh or Upholstery, as do Guest Chairs, Multiples, and Tandem Chairs. Lounge Chairs are upholstered and offer a deeper, wider seat for superior comfort. Coordinating Benches are also supportive.
Of course, the Foster Collection doesn’t forget the importance of cleanliness. To help facilities battle infection, Foster has no side rail, so “the entire perimeter of the seat is free of tight spaces where germs, crumbs and debris collect.” Removable seat and back covers make for easy cleaning as well. While Foster Collection was designed with the needs of healthcare environments in mind, it is nonetheless a lounge collection that’s stylish enough for educational and public spaces.
